Teams - Create a team and channels to gather people together and work in focused spaces with conversations and files.
Calendar - Connect with people before, during, and after a meeting so prep and follow-up are easy to find. This Teams calendar syncs with your Outlook one.
Apps - Find familiar apps and explore new ones to simplify, customize, and manage how you work.
Microsoft Teams can be used on your computer and mobile device. The icon below is what the application looks like.
Where you can use it
- You can use Microsoft Teams on your computer and mobile device. You can download it from a browser or the app store.
- To download from the Apple App Store, please use the camera on your phone to scan this QR code and it should bring you to the Microsoft Teams App in the App Store.
- To download from the Google Play Store, please use the camera on your phone to scan this QR code and it should bring you to the Microsoft Teams App in the Google Play Store.
- You can access Microsoft Teams via website by going to: https://teams.microsoft.com
- You can also download the app onto your computer by going to: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-teams/download-app and downloading the new Teams app under “Teams for work or school” and clicking the “Download for Windows (64-bit)”
How to use it
Microsoft Teams can be confusing at times and hard to work with. These instructions will guide you to become a Microsoft Teams expert to make your workflow better.
- Microsoft Teams Chat: This is a way to communicate with anyone in your organization or connected organizations. To begin a new chat, look at the image below and hit the button that is inside the red box. Type the name or email address of anyone who uses Microsoft Teams inside or outside organization to communicate using Microsoft Teams.
- Microsoft Teams Teams Section: This is to create a Team for you and a group of people to communicate within each other. Share files, make channels, and to customize it to add whatever you want or need to make your workflow better.
- To add users to the Team, Press the 3 dots on the end of your Team name and you can add a member with permissions.
- Microsoft Teams Calendar: This is to create Teams meetings. You can create it at any time and add anyone with an email address. Once you add everyone, it will send them a link to join the call during the designated time. You can join the call by pressing the event and pressing “Join” button. This is how it should look like.
